We'll look at different events that occur from time to time here. Also a look at some of the new Studebakers that appear from time to time
We have recently purchased a Studebaker Lark apparently it is very well-known to the Canterbury area and possibly beyond. It is my understanding that this Studebaker Lark “Cruiser” Ute is the only one currently in New Zealand. The vehicle has only had two owners over the past twenty nine years and has clocked up a mere 15000 miles in that time. The previous owner of some twenty four years had done some improvements to the body work and extensive upgrades to the Studebaker running gear. The last owner really looked after it, gave it timely runs but mostly it sat with his many other vehicle in dry storage. The vehicle was converted to a Ute in 1968 and still remains very true to the style of that era. This conversion was done by “Parks” in Christchurch who then had a large paint, panel and repair shop, now they are a vehicle breakdown service provider. It was the history and the story behind this vehicle that draw me in. I have had an occasion with this vehicle’s two previous owners that goes back several years. We are very pleased to able bring this Studebaker back to New Zealand roads as many had thought that this vehicle had disappeared for good.
What a great job they've done with this! Webmaster
